Karyn E. Rial Memorial Scholarship

"A 1985 graduate of Ringgold High School, Monongahela, PA. during which she was a Rotary Exchange Student to Ecuador.
​
She was a 1989 graduate of Otterbein College. While at Otterbein, Karyn majored in International Studies and was involved in Marching Band and Pep Band as well as Epsilon Kappa Tau sorority.
​
After graduation she resided in Washington DC and worked for or two lobbyist organizations, Employer's Council on Flexible Compensation and United Fruit and Vegetable. She relocated to Erie, PA where she worked for the American Heart Association and was an active member of the United Methodist Church and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Erie County PA.
​
Karyn passed away unexpectedly on March 25, 2000.
​
She held the sorority and her sisters very close to her heart and we would like to honor her and other beloved sisters with this fund."

Dr. Day Scholarship
Dr. Marilyn E. Day graduated from Otterbein in 1953. Following graduation, she spent 40 years working for the Department of Physical Education. During those 40 years, she acted as an Advisor for the EKT Active Chapter.

The Epsilon Kappa Tau Alumna Memorial Award in honor of Dr. Marilyn E. Day was established in cooperation with the Alumni Development Office of Otterbein. This scholarship is to be awarded each year to an active incoming senior member (or members) of the EKT Active Chapter. The award is presented every year at the Otterbein University Awards Convocation and recipient(s) are recognized at Homecoming.
